Gavi
Gavi Eco-Tourism, a project of the Kerala Forest Development Corporation has caught the attention of tourists. Gavi is inside the Ranni reserve forest which is a part of Periyar Tiger Reserve. Gavi is a quiet, beautiful and pristine forest. These evergreen forests are abundant with magnificent Wildlife. Gavi often serves as a base camp for deep jungle trekkers, birdwatchers, nature lovers, etc.
If you are planning for a ride through Gavi Forest, you need to carry food, as there is no hotels between Kochandy and Vallakkadavu. Only option is a KSEB Canteen near Kochupamba. But you need to inform them in advance. Contact number is there in the video attached here.
